Quality Original Prints

I create prints that you will want in your living space. The images are digitally reworked from my original photographs.I use recycled or sustainable materials where possible, sourced from businesses that support their local communities.

The Artist

Kingston local Mary has bounced back from failing her Year 9 Art exam (an earnest, if completely perspective-less, pencil drawing of a sewing machine, if she recalls correctly) via an Interior Design BTEC (with distinction, no less) and a career in medicine. She has exhibited at Teddington’s Landmark Arts Centre, the DoDI Art Fair and at NotMyBeautifulHouse in Kingston. She has curated a body of work comprising primarily ink-on-cottonrag paper prints. These giclée prints are of images, digitally reworked from her original photographs with carefully chosen colour ways to please your eye and warm your heart. The Blue Hot collection represents holidays taken or dreamed of, with hot days and hotter nights. Iconic Kingston speaks for itself with the town ‘Where England Began’ shown at its vibrant best. Two’s Company highlights various and varied couples: animal, vegetable and mineral.Aside from the aesthetics, she is mindful of our responsibilities to the world. Where possible she chooses sustainable resources from businesses that support their local communities.

The Materials

The cottonrag paper is made from T-shirts recycled by a South Indian business employing over 60 local men and women and supporting its own organic farm. Each page is unique and individually printed with high quality ink which should last a generation or four if the prints are kept from full sun.The solid wooden frames are made by a family firm based in Tyne & Wear.
The posters, cards and postcards are produced in partnership with a friendly, well-established business with bases in Tyne & Wear and Essex.
